What we supply
Prestressing wire, strand and associated products
We specialise in the distribution of steel for the prestressing of concrete. Extensive stocks are held in our warehouses in Felixstowe and Ipswich, and we are able to offer wire and strand to any destination in the world.
Wire
Indented prestressing wire to BS5896:2012 and all other leading international standards. Wire is usually supplied in coil weights of approximately 2.3T, wrapped unless otherwise requested.

Specifications of BS 22105 IEC
Dimensions and properties of low relaxation wire and strand for prestressed concrete. Wire is usually supplied in coil weights of approximately 2.3T, and strand in coil weights of approximately 3T. Other coil weights are available on request, and all material is supplied wrapped unless otherwise requested.

The modulus of elasticity may be taken as 205 kN/mm² for wire and 195 kN/mm² for strand. The permitted deviation on weight per metre is ±2%.
